A wise lady once told me that fire is a healer. Think about it, fire places, candle light, the yule log- few things set the tone like a warm flame. So this got me thinking... if fire is a healer, no wonder I'm so drawn to the sunrise and the sunset. I really feel like every time I get to enjoy one that I'm being given a gift. I'm not sure how else to explain it other than I feel lucky. And I am lucky, during December and January the PNW has had outrageously beautiful sunrises and some fantastic sunsets. These are a few of the shots from the first weekend of the new year.

May 2018: Croatia Road Trip

We sailed, we got stranded in a national park, we sunbathed - some of us al natural, we met lovely people, we ate all the food and we drank all the wine… Looking back it was the perfect type of sunshiney, nostalgic trip that we’ll look back on and smile.
